ABOUT ZUMA'S RESCUE RANCH:
Serving the community since 2008, the mission of Zuma’s Rescue Ranch is to foster an environment of healing by pairing rescued horses with at-risk youth (learning differences, difficult life transitions and trauma, etc.) in a mutually therapeutic program.
Zuma's Horse Rescue program goal is to help save the lives of unwanted, abused and neglected horses that are acquired through law enforcement seizures and surrenders, purchases from kill-buyers/auctions for slaughter, and in partnership with other rescue organizations on a local, state and national level. Horses are treated, rehabilitated, and trained with the ultimate goal of adoption. Horses that are permanently lame, blind or have other issues that prevent them from being likely candidates for adoption, are placed in sanctuary where they may live out the rest of their lives with dignity and peace.
