Meow! Taylor Swift confirmed she’s set to portray Bombalurina in the upcoming film adaptation of Broadway smash Cats. The songstress posted pics and videos to her Instagram account from the film set in England on Tuesday, January 22.
“Meow” she wrote alongside a selfie in front of a Bombalurina sign.
“So I’m on set for Cats and it is fully snowing,” she added in an Instagram Stories video, with another slide that read “always too excited.”
Swift’s character is one of the kitties that sings "Macavity the Mystery Cat," a notoriously lusty number from the play.
The cast also includes stars Idris Elba, James Corden, Jennifer Hudson, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson and more. Hamilton’s choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler is also on board.
The play follows a tribe of cats called the Jellicles over the course of one night as they decide which of their group will ascend to the “Heaviside Layer” and come back to a new life. Swift last appeared in 2014’s The Giver.
