Sheryl Crow Compliments Maren Morris With Artist Comparison

Could the next Stevie Nicks be Maren Morris? Sheryl Crow seems to think so.

Just ahead of the CMT Music Awards, Sheryl joined Cody Alan to give him the scoop on what’s happening at the CMT Music rehearsals. As we could have guessed, the “All I Wanna Do” singer is really having a good time with her collaboration alongside Maren Morris.

During their interview, Sheryl dropped a massive compliment to the country superstar. While discussing her single, “Prove You Wrong,” Sheryl shared that she was able to bring in her A-List musician pals to join her on the track, but something was missing.

“There was something else that could really push this thing forward,” Sheryl shared. “And, that was bringing in, who I feel like is perhaps, the next Stevie Nicks, and that was Maren. What I mean when I say that is Stevie rode that line of country, rock, and pop and Maren does a great job of that as well.”

The flattery didn’t stop there!

Sheryl shared that after hearing Maren during rehearsals, she had the thought, “Lucky Me! Stevie is out on the road, so she won’t be able to make it. But Maren holds her own!”
