The picture above is a webcam in our studio and I can't stand it! You think I would be fine with cameras and mics in a room since I've been in TV and radio for almost 28 yrs, but I can't stand it. I feel like I'm being watched. I've heard so many stories of people hacking home security cameras, laptops, iPhones and YES WEBCAMS. I'm sure there is absolutely nobody interested in watching me sit in the studio all day, but I still get freaked out.
The solution? I taped a napkin over it :) I normally put a piece of tape over my camera laptop, but I didn't want to ruin the lens on the stations webcam....so a Jimmy Johns napkin works.
I think it's crazy that everything has a camera these days. How strange is this.....when my boys are playing xbox and I walk into the room, it recognizes me from my profile and I'm not even logged on! It will say hello Denise at the bottom of the screen. That's freaky to me.
How do you feel about it? Does it bother you or am I totally paranoid?
