Castle Rock PD just tweeted this picture of the bear and asking everyone to stay away.
BEAR IN FOUNDERS: There is a bear located in a tree near Mickelson Blvd. and Brantly Ave. CRPD’s Animal Control unit and officers are in the area. Please keep away from the immediate area. If you have students walking to school, you may want to choose an alternate route. (1/2)
We ask that people do not gather in the area to look for the bear, as we are hoping it can return to its natural habitat. Department of Wildlife has been notified. (2/2)
