Entertaining crowds at basketball games is serious business. If you want the best to make the crowd cheer, doing acrobats and get on stage during the halftime show....the NBA has to pay a crazy amount of money. I had no idea mascots made more than half a million dollars. YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY!
Topping the list of highest paid NBA mascots is our very own Rocky from the Denver Nuggets.
Rocky is rumored to make a whopping $625,000 to entertain crowds while the Nuggets are defending the net. According to the NBA franchise's official website, a one-hour visit from Rocky costs 750 dollars, while a 30-minute visit for a birthday party could cost 400 dollars.
Rocky tops the list followed by the Atlanta Hawks mascot, as Harry the Hawk earning 600,000 dollars a year. The Chicago Bulls mascot, Benny the Bull, is in 3rd place by making 400,000 dollars.
