This morning's SpaceX launch of its Starship orbital rocket was a real rollercoaster ride of emotions. First there were cheers when the most powerful rocket ever built took off in Texas without a problem, but then disappointment minutes later when the rocket exploded. SpaceX called it, a "rapid unscheduled disassembly."
It was almost a minute after liftoff, SpaceX tweeted a video of it and said it had cleared the launchpad and was on its flight path. But then a few minutes after that, they updated the tweet with the news that it had exploded. The company later added, "With a test like this, success comes from what we learn, and today’s test will help us improve Starship’s reliability as SpaceX seeks to make life multi-planetary."
