TMSG: Newborn Found Safe After Teen Raised $10K For Community Baby Box

19-year-old Hunter Wart spent more than a year mowing lawns and scrapping metal all to raise money for a community baby box.

Wart was a junior at Columbus North High School when he decided to raise funds as part of his senior project. After the year of raising money, Wart saved $10,000 and was able to get the baby box installed at the fire department in June of 2019.

Since then, the box has been empty until this past week when firefighters found a healthy baby girl inside. An alarm in the box alerted firefighters to the baby's presence within a minute of her arrival. Chief Brad Lucas said the baby was only one hour old.
