I had no idea this was happening! According to the Colorado DMV, we are getting new backgrounds for our drivers licenses and we get to vote on which one is chosen:
After more than 400 entries from over 100 Coloradans, it's time to #VoiceYourChoiceCO and choose which designs will be on the front and back of the Centennial State's upcoming driver license refresh. So which design best represents Colorado? You decide!
The winner for each side will receive a $500 grant each, thanks to Colorado Creative Industries, a division of Colorado’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), which partnered with the DMV to help promote the contest.
After the votes have been tallied, Gov. Jared Polis and the DMV will host a press conference to unveil the chosen design. The time and date have yet to be determined.
Colorado's new design is slated to debut in the fall of 2021.
