A unique piece of scary movie memorabilia is up for auction.
The axe that Jack Nicholson's character used in The Shining is going up for sale through the Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction house. The bidding begins on Wednesday and is expected to fetch as much as $100,000. The axe was a major part of the movie as Jack used it to kill Scatman Crothers' character, Dick Hallorann, and then chased after his wife Wendy and son Danny. The axe is described as being in very good condition and is displayed in a shadow box frame.
