James Michael Grimes from Alabama fell overboard on a Carnival cruise ship and survived by treading water for almost 20 hours.
He said he was passed out and doesn't remember how he fell or even hitting the ocean. It was one day into his vacation aboard the Carnival Valor with 18 of his family members. James was enjoying himself and even won an air guitar contest at a bar, he said he was going to the restroom and never returned. His sister reported him missing the next day.
He survived jellyfish, shark infested waters, cold waters but still managed to tread water and stay afloat for nearly 20 hours before the Coast Guard located him and pulled him out of the water.
