Jim Carrey’s appearance at the 2026 César Awards sparked wild social media “clone” conspiracy theories after fans said he looked different in video from the event. Organizers and his rep firmly denied the rumors, confirming the actor personally accepted his Honorary César in Paris and spent months preparing his French-language speech.
Makeup artist Alexis Stone also added fuel to the gossip after insinuating they used a latex mask to disguise themselves as Carrey at the show.
